Our Read the Scriptures program was inspired through the Book of Mormon reading challenge President Hinckley issued in August 2005: "I offer a challenge to members of the Church throughout the world and to our friends everywhere to read or reread the Book of Mormon."

That was 3 years ago! We would like to issue this challenge again to all who will join us on this anniversary of the Book of Mormon reading challenge!

Join with all your friends, family, and people around the world to read the Book of Mormon once again before the end of 2008.

To quote President Hinckley: "...there will come into your lives and into your homes an added measure of the Spirit of the Lord, a strengthened resolution to walk in obedience to His commandments, and a stronger testimony of the living reality of the Son of God."

 

New Schedules

We apologize for the delay, but we have now added these new schedules:

• The May - August Ensigns are now available. Choose your desired selection from the "Create" page in your account.
• The Seminary New Testament reading schedule has been added. Create a Team with your class members to track each other's progress and send them reading Prompts for encouragement!

 

Team Enhancements

We have added a fun feature to the teams: Teams now have the ability to challenge another team!

Your team owner can select another team to issue a challenge to, and if they accept that challenge, each team can track each other's progress through their reading.

Also, don't forget about these other team features:

• A percentage of the overall team progress is now displayed beside the team name.
• Team comments and Member progress are now available in separate tabs for better viewing.
• Each team member can add their own profile picture and favorite quote or scripture to be displayed with their reading progress. Clicking on the thumbnail will open the picture in a larger view.
• Team members can now Edit and Delete their own posted team comments, and the team owner has the ability to edit or delete any comment.
• The team owner has a Settings control to select which readings will display and be included in the team.

Our Read The Scriptures services are offered free and will always remain free. Our purpose is to provide a means to assist you with completing your reading goals.
