Through the gospel of Jesus Christ we are prosperous. We have been given the gift of our Savior. It is very important to express and show our gratitude for the Savior daily through giving acts of kindness and service to others.

Borrowing words from a bishop, however, being a grateful receiver is the most difficult, though equally important as giving. When we gratefully and humbly accept gifts or service from others, we are acting in proxy for our Savior. "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." (Matt. 25: 40)

Heavenly Father has given us the ultimate gift - His Son, who then gave us his life. Let's receive him into our hearts and lives this season and every day!

"How silently, how silently the wondrous gift is giv'n! So God imparts to human hearts the blessings of his heav'n. No ear may hear his coming; but in this world of sin, where meek souls will receive him, still the dear Christ enters in."

Available as downloadable text, audio, and video, these colorfully illustrated stories from the scriptures are written on a basic reading level for children. They are also a valuable resource for others who may not yet be familiar with the standard works.

The Book of Mormon, Old Testament, New Testament, and Doctrine and Covenants Scripture Stories are all available. You will find them listed under the Other category on the Create Schedule page of your account.

The December issue of both the Ensign and the New Era are now available. The December issues contain wonderful Christmas messages and stories to enjoy!
